If I Told You I Wanted to Dress Like Tommy Pickles, What Would You Say?

Hi millennials 👋 (approaching you with intention of sharing a wild fashion icon), remember Tommy Pickles? The gummy, adorable, leader of The Rugrats who was always in a baby tee and a diaper? Turns out, I’m kinda into his look. Not the diaper per say, but the cropped boxy tee paired with tiny lil baby bloomers.
Stay with me here. Sure, his ensemble was out of necessity because he was a literal cartoon baby but I don’t know you guys, it’s very summer in Bushwick. It’s very “it’s too hot and I’m too cool to wear pants.” It’s comfy, breezy, edgy, and definitely requires some gusto because you are showing a lot of leg. As someone who typically prefers longer shorts and not showing a lot of leg, it feels like great wardrobe immersion therapy.

Absolutely dead over the Tommy Pickles reference ☠️ I was such a Rugrats Stan!! I have the Posse bloomer shorts and they work because they don’t have elastic around the leg; some bloomers do and I worry my thighs would push that up (does that make sense?). In any case I *really* love your inspo for this!!
